The Dumont School is available to rent for almost any occasion. Listed below are some frequently asked questions about renting the school. Contact MCVHS by email at information@mcvhs.org if you are interested in renting the school for your event and to check availability.
How much does it cost to rent the school?
$150 per day and a $100 refundable damage deposit.
What is the maximum capacity of the school?
85 people.
How big is the meeting area?
The actual meeting space is the original classroom, approximately 17 feet wide and 23 feet long. There is a small stage area, elevated about 1 foot above the main floor and approximately 20 feet by 10 feet.
How are the accommodations for people with wheelchairs or walkers?
Those folks will need assistance. The school does not have any ADA access ramps yet. The schoolyard and parking area are dirt and gravel that make it difficult for wheelchairs. There is one concrete sidewalk from the parking area to the school. There are 5 steps up into the school. Once inside, the meeting room is on the main level which is easily accessible. There are 4 steps down to a lower level that has the bathrooms. The bathrooms are accessible but getting up and down the stairs will require assistance.
Do you have tables and chairs available?
Yes. We can set up tables and chairs to meet your needs.
Do you have any audio/visual equipment available?
It is limited but yes we do have an Epson projector and a small (3′ X 3′)screen. No microphone or sound system.
Do you allow alcohol?
We have a no alcohol policy.
Do you have catering available?
We don’t offer catering directly. There is a small kitchen area that can be used and we do know of one catering company in the area that we can recommend.
